1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Valence Four website (valencefour.com) or any V4 service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the site or services.

2. Nature of V4 ratings

V4 ratings are analytical assessments based on available information at the time of assessment. They represent our opinion of carbon credit quality. They are not guarantees, warranties, or predictions of future performance.

V4 ratings are not legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making any investment or procurement decision based on V4 ratings.

V4 is not a registry, a third-party verifier, or a regulatory body. We have no authority over the projects we rate.

3. Permitted use

You may use V4 ratings and reports for your own internal due diligence and decision-making purposes. Subscriber access is governed by your subscription agreement.

You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense V4 ratings or reports without our written consent. You may not use V4 ratings in marketing materials without attribution in the form "Rated [grade] by Valence Four (valencefour.com)".

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valence Four shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or reliance on V4 ratings or this website.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of this website or V4 ratings shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

5. Intellectual property

All V4 rating methodology documents, rating reports, and website content are the intellectual property of Valence Four Carbon Ratings Private Limited. Ratings may be cited with attribution. Methodology documents may be reproduced for non-commercial academic purposes with attribution.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site following a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
